The castle was built in the mouth of a cave and looks over the village of Predjama. It’s style represents the magnificent Renaissance. There leved a famous knight once, who also used to rule the castle. His name was Erazem Lueger. He killed an imperial general, when that offended his deceased friend. The Holy Roman Emperor ordered his execution for the murder. Erazem managed to pull back to the family castle, in Predjama. The imperial army besieged the castle. The siege lasted for one year and one day. Eventually, Erazem was betrayed by one of his men, and got killed.
