Historic Sword Escape

They are enforced to pay the annual tax for the Roman empire in exchange of relative peace between the two nation. But as winter gets colder this year the crop goes dead and they are unable to pay the fixed amount. The feared enemy shows up within days and claim their share. It seems a bit hopeless for the small colony but they possess a terribly strong weapon. Unfortunately this sword is embedded into a stone and nobody has ever managed to pull it out. Find hidden objects and solve puzzles to get it somehow. Best of luck!
