Well it’s not really in a good state however, for it’s inside a cage and is struggling to get itself out!
Joseph found his finch inside a cage near a broken and old house, he knows that it’s his finch for the animal was not endemic in the place and it’s the only finch he sees outdoors. Plus it had a distinct pattern which was unique to it, maybe they really tried to get the bird and made it theirs for it’s different than the rest? Joseph already called for anybody but it seems nobody would come to meet him, that gives him the opportunity to get his bird back quickly because there is a high chance that the someone who took it won’t really give it back, so Joseph did it in his own way.
