It was your mistake, you could have known better that the gnomes are really smart creatures, but you straight ran into it blindly and triggered the trap mechanism. The doors got locked down. It looks like some kind of tower. Maybe you can see something if you go up to the top. Or find out how the lock works and break it. It’s up to you. You should hurry, because the gnome gets away.
