The forest here have become dark, there is only one explanation for that, something happened to the white deer which was the spirit of the forest. And so as the shaman of this place, Leone knows what to do, and that is to face the place’s darkness and get to where the white deer is and maybe try to save it. Leone is afraid he might not get there soon though, and if he is too late in rescuing the deer from whatever is troubling it then this forest will not survive through time. That’s why he needs to get to it now before all is lost.

Luckily though it isn’t, the white deer is still alive for there are parts of the forest that are still as is, that means the deer is fighting.
