I’m not sure of the validity of your suggestion, although I have a hunch. Judging by most online games (since the switch from Flash to html5), they seem to be created with the left hind hoof. And that leads one to speculate about their authors. So, what kind of English do you expect from them in this case?

I think most of the escape games developers are from India. Like G2R, Wow or G4K.
