Jack was able to receive something after he reasoned with the vampire when she chased him! He knew he was going to be chased down, he thanked his legs for being able to make him run quite fast and that’s why he was able to put some distance between her and him. Jack was able to give her the blood and then afterwards, he received a heart. Quite weird, and icky. The vampire was thankful and sorry for she has done, but now she is the one who has a task for him.

Great another task, it’s like he never gets tired at all. But he can’t neglect the request of the vampire here for she seems to be sincere and pleading with her request.
