It’s made of pretty strong metal, so couldn’t even break it. After you examinde the chest thoroughly, you found a description on its side. It says you have to find the templar’s weapon to open up the crate. You traveled to the place where the weapon should be, according to the text. This is it. You need to be careful, though. There might be traps to scare away the unworthy. This whole treasure thing turned out to be quite an adventure in the end. Good luck!
