There is clearly some traps there like spikes or swinging rocks or something, those can clearly end someone and it’s very logical to expect that for the door up ahead looks like it is made of solid gold! Still Richard is not having any regrets that he had come to Egypt here and in one of its temples for a discovery, but he needs to focus now if he ever wants to escape safely and most especially in one piece.
There could be a way to deactivate the traps, but it won’t be that easy though for in such a place, the one who created it doesn’t want anyone who successfully enters to just escape and delivery the message of what he found inside.
