The guards took you down. You ended up in the dungeon. Luckily, they tied the rope loosely and you could cut yourself free. If you made it out of here, you could free the other captives and start a rebellion. In the chaos you could still complete the mission and kill the general. Yes, it will be a good plan. First of all, you need to bust open the dungeon door somehow. Good luck!
