In a quiet corner of Brighton, the seasoned investigator Max Calder returns home after a long week of solving cases. A curious postcard lay on his doorstep as he arrived. Benedict Winters, his eccentric neighbor had left town in a sudden rush and would never return, says the card. The message unsettled Max, for Benedict never acts impulsively. Max entered his neighbor’s flat to check on him. The air smelled of dust and cedar. Books lay scattered, and a toppled chair hinted a struggle.

Benedict’s prized violin case sat open but empty. Max remembered the man’s brilliant mind and troubled past. After a failed research project, Benedict withdrew from society and only trusted Max. Now the apartment holds riddles that felt like it was crafted for him alone. Drawers hid coded notes, while the desk displayed clipped newspaper scraps. Max knew Benedict wanted him to uncover a secret involving a lost mystery box, at least that’s what he sees.
