Good game…thank you!
Awesome. I’ll write more later – I’m still recovering from the emotions. Just stunningly beautiful. Thank you for your work, dear Author!
Well. Finally, I can share my detailed impressions of the game.
Among the esteemed Author’s Nature-themed games, this one falls into the “horizontal” category. In other words, it’s a game where all movement is left-to-right, with no “depthing” into the forest. Nevertheless, personally, I felt that with this game, the Author achieved another qualitative leap. I’ll try to explain why I think so now, but first, I’ll list the other merits of the game, which have long been a characteristic “master’s mark” on our esteemed Author’s works.
The sounds in the game are simply amazing: from the background bird calls to the event sound effects. One could say a certain “balance” has been achieved. On one hand, the game immerses you in its forest aura, and on the other, it emphasizes the player’s actions.
The photographs are breathtaking once again. Moreover, the combination of landscape and macro shots is very interesting – they are all clearly subservient to a unified system.
I really liked the combination of movable objects and photos. And while the toy caterpillar, moss, and leaves are obvious, the mushrooms are incorporated excellently. And that’s wonderful! There’s no straightforwardness: the player, after poking at the “obvious” items and exhausting them, will fall into bewilderment: how can this be? But it’s all correct: be on guard, even in such a relaxing setting! No one promised that everything would be uniform.
I’ll note the excellent idea with the topsy-turvy numbers. It might seem like a small thing, but it makes you think – how to use the obtained clue. And thinking is beneficial.
And a simply magnificent solution: to get the clue for one puzzle (with water bubbles), you first have to solve another (the rotating one). And I’ll specifically emphasize: it’s absolutely correct that nothing is explained! Again – let the players figure it out themselves. After all, all the items are in plain sight – no one is hiding anything. So…
The slingshot is simply charming! And I’ll emphasize again: it’s absolutely correct that there are no any explanations! It’s far more interesting to figure it out yourself: so, there’s a slingshot. What for? And in the inventory, there are still… Ah, I see!
P.S. And the only thing in the game that raises some doubt. And even then – it’s not a flaw of the game at all, but simply a “purely plot-related” question. Is it worth shooting the slingshot at a large black ant if it’s sitting right on the anthill? Since other ants aren’t attacking it, it’s obvious this anthill is its home. Now, a whole gang of his powerful-jawed accomplices will show up in response to this shooting. And they’ll give the shooter such a beating he’ll never forget! ;-)
Loved it! Thank you!
Finally, a new beautiful game from Ainars! Thank you!
