The legend says, there was a boat man once, who used to cross the river every night to bring medicine for his sick wife. From the morning to the late afternoon, he was working hard in the city to earn enough money to pay the treatment. One night, a huge storm caught him on the middle of the river and pushed him to the water. He couldn’t make it out and drowned. When his wife received the bad news, she fell deeper in the illness and passed away not long after her husband. It’s said the boat man’s spirit is still crossing the river every night since then.
