Most part of the land is occupied by an inactive volcano, the residental area is on the skirt of the island. The last eruption was in 1892. The catastrophe didn’t take lives, thanks to a captain, who took the population to his ship. He has a statue now, in front of the church. Maybe his story and the danger of the volcano made you choose the field of geology. You mostly work abroad, but now you came home to rest a little with your family.
