You should’ve watched where you were going. It was summer. You had a lot of free time. But not much on the budget. The farthest place you could visit without feeling like a pauper was just more than an hour away from your country by plane. You wanted to be physically away from people you knew for some days. So you took the opportunity to begin your solo adventure. Since it didn’t cost much to stay there, you also couldn’t expect to see anything so different from what you had in your country. However, this was still better than being stuck with people you didn’t really like. Your hotel was facing a school. And a family ran it. They lived behind the hotel and you could sometimes see the whole family. The voices of the children having fun and running around the school grounds brought smiles as well.

Feeling better, you started your adventure with a Mayan temple ruin. You never thought you’d enter this mystical place. But you’d actually meet it before sunrise. It was still a little dim when you arrived. Yet the placed made you excited and trip. You were on all fours on the ground. Then you tried to regain your balance.
